When are promotions announced?

Promotions below the executive management level are not announced anymore. But believe me, you do find out later in the hallways and lunch rooms when you were passed over.
anybody heard their promotion result? if not, then may ask supervisor tomorrow.
no news yet, guess my promotion was rejected.
Actually, it was many years ago that Chevron stopped making formal announcements of promoted employees. The company doesn’t even make it widespread knowledge of anyone’s Pay Salary Grade. Although word does get out about certain employees promotions, it’s mainly through the announcement of them getting a new job position which is common knowledge what the PSG is for that job. There’s just no general list that gets posted annually. At one time about 20 years ago, it was done in Chevron.
The twelfth of Never.
Supervisors haven’t been notified yet.
anybody was notified unofficially their promotion result?
If your supervisor has not already told you (unofficially) that your promotion has been approved, then I am sorry to tell you its not happening this year....maybe if you do better it will happen next year....and of course your loving supervisor will tell you they don't understand why, just watch the eyes when your told sorry....
should not supervisor already knew the promotion result for his team, or he has to wait to 10/18?
So many trolls.
Supervisors notify employee between 10/18 - 10/31. Effective date is 11/1.
Been in November the last few years.
A lot of things have gotten worse when it comes to comp, reviews, etc., but credit where it’s due - the promote in November impacting your CIP has been a great change.
Right after layoffs are announced. You won't be there so there's no need to be concerned about it.
@dcg not true. Later this month we will receive (supervisors) the confirmaiton from the system with the final salary adjustment. this has NOT happened yet. Only then is when you should communicate.
If you don't already know, you are not being promoted....sorry you must have listened to the story being spun by your "leader"
