I find it funny how much Allstate has come to foster the "every man for himself" culture. Every manager here seems to have a different agenda that is based solely on what will make him or her look good. Is everybody blind to miss how bad this is for the company?

I love the leaders that tell you that they dont like your ideas, but in 2 months time they sell you idea as their own. Giving no credits to the person that scoped the proof of concept . At the end of the day, they will keep the leaders that don’t know how to lead, in our case 2 Hr complaints, 2 years of bad barometer scoring. This is a top down issue, but let’s keep those folks in place to run the company down the drain.
Unfortunately the company doesn’t keep tabs on who its high performers are. Sadly, when you apply for other roles or promotions, performance isn’t considered unless you are on an improvement plan. Think about that for a second. Performance doesn’t matter?! How is that driving the proper behavior and work ethic? This is part of the reason that there are so many poor senior leaders at this struggling company.
Worse still is the employee level culture this mindset has bred. Employees only doing what will make them look good so they can get promoted. The LDP program also created a bunch of entitled monsters who had their egos so inflated they think they should be running the company and deserve every position they apply for.
It’s been like that for many years and that has to have played a part in the downfall of the company.
So where’s the big intranet article about our glorious financial results for 3rd quarter ? Instead we get something about helping kids play soccer ? We’re still an insurance company right? Selling warranties on Wayfair products ? Brahahahaaa joke of all insurance company jokes. Yep. We be in spiral down da drain.
Really no one cares anymore. Log in, half a-s it, log out, pay me. That is what the misguided and untalented sl--eballs in the Ivory Tower have made it here anymore.
No one cares about the company everyone is just a number to the big wigs.
