As a person whonwas part of the Augusty wave of layoffs, here is how PTO was treated....

You will be allowed to take any PTO that was already approved prior to layoff and will be up to your people leaders discretion and business needs if they approve any remaining PTO you have left.

You will be directed to a department that handles severance agreements and not the regular HR Department. HR is completely clueless indded and have been hit with layoffs quite a bit.

Can confirm this. I was allowed to use my time per Agreements department. You will be directed to HR by your people leader BUT HR is clueless, send all inquiries to Agreements Department.

And for everyone who has an unfair management team, call out sick. Use it up! Its part of your yearly compensation package and you deserve to use it.
