All the comments form supervisors say the list to got has them baffled cause there’s no rhyme or reason. They are having to let go of people giving 100+% and meeting metrics.

The rhyme and reason isn’t going to be obvious. It starts with a total dollar amount. However many people it takes to hit that dollar amount will determine how many are let go. Since salaries vary, so will the number and selection.
The way leaders get there varies by team and there will be no pattern to it.
The only guarantee is that it will be a mix of genders, ages, races, tenures, and salaries.
Don’t try to figure it out or play the odds. I’ve seen the most popular managers thst had great performance ratings and pulse scores get cut simply to help meet the required & savings.
But the people picked were there a rhyme or reason to who stays and who goes?
As a senior manager for a corporate area, I had no part in the decision making process. It was made the RVP/SVP level without input from Directors and below.

If you are white and bright. You are gone.
Missouri is an at will state tho. They can fire who they want with no explanation.
To the other question I’m not sure how high up made the decisions but by what I’ve heard It was the sups or managers of the teams.
Legally those loses need to look and feel as random as possible. If there’s even a hint that they targeted any particular demographic (age, race, gender or things like tenure, salary above x, etc.) they’d be open to lawsuits which would cost more than what they save.
Who makes the decisions? VPs of departments or even more above their heads?

Trust me when I say they’re very, very good at covering all bases.
Look further.....theres no such thing as random in layoffs. You will find the rhyme...its probably age or length of time.... old blood or salary highher than others. Its seems to bel about leveling the playing field and giving those salaries to 2 new border crossers ey'...sound so 'democratically' familiar....still voting the same in 2024???
There’s no rhyme or reason on anything here, not surprising.
I am not surprised. People will know their job fate tomorrow and the rest of this week.
