Talent Acquisition usually works to hire and redeploy employees. We now find ourselves with long approval chains for offers, delays, cancellations of recs and very little to do— this is across all platforms of our business. It is frightening because the writing on the wall is if you are not hiring, why have recruiters? No one is giving anyone any answers and it is frustrating and demoralizing. How are we supposed to motivate others to join our world if we may be next on the list? Give us the respect and level with us…

Why would anyone want to work here anyway?
Yes. An email was sent. Essentially They will not overpay for externals anymore. Cheaper to promote and likely will not be giving big bumps for a move in my opinion. Whatever labor shortage competition the last two years is long gone in current economy. Good luck.

There is no to slow growth hiring US Based employees. Hiring freeze has been happening for months. However, the hiring has been non stop for WIPRO (Mexico and Central America). Philippines continues to fill up their tech trainees trying to learn from tenured US techs. How can there be a hiring freeze, if a Director in IT was on their 9th day with the company?
About as worthless as the DEI departments. Much needed culling. Too bad
The Recuriting team at UHG is the absolutely worst dept. I have never seen a company ghost their own employees.
Plan is to eliminate TA and have the hiring Manager work with a "coordinator".
This company is a cluster of epic proportions. Galactic. But hey, line go up., right?
First, maybe respond to the threads asking why TA doesn't consider folks being laid off on current/ open reqs- maybe supply some of your insight there. Those two things could help both parties.
Time to polish your resume. Unless they redeploy you to TA for offshore. They are already offshoring Puerto Rico jobs. Because apparently those poor people aren’t cheap enough for them either. Best wishes and good luck.
