Oh my I'm so saddened to hear about your tension headache and feeling like you are going to have a stroke.

Go have your 9 yr Olds party. Please still enjoy life. Yes it's scary you have a meeting on Monday. I completely understand your fear of being let go. We on this forum are in the same boat.
Going through this really made me realize how unreliable and how unstable Centene is. Going through this made me realize that I way more valuable than to be treated this way. I am a professional and worthy of such treatment. We are all worthy of getting good salaries and treated with dignity and respect.
Find something this weekend that you enjoy and do it. Spend time with your family. They are NOT worth your life.

You are looking at this wrong. There is a 97 percent chance you are not going to be laid-off. If you are one of the 3 percent that gets let go, than you will get two months of paid transition time pay and probably 3 to 6 months of salary. After that you can collect unemployment. There is roughly a 95 percent chance that someone will hire within 4 to 5 months with equal or better pay especially if you been working at centene for years.

If you are not one of the 97 percent that is not let go you can use this as a great opportunity to start an all out job search for another job at another company even a lateral move that will pay you more. When the hiring manager in the interview asks why are you looking you can simply state that you want to work for a company that is more stable and has more career and professional growth opportunities than Centene that is constantly laying off people and most likely be laying more people off in 2024.

I’d have the party while you can. Most likely will still get to work a couple months. It’s horrible feeling I know.

I'm right there with you. I can't believe they made us wait until the town hall on Thursday, then sent us into the weekend making us wait even longer! I have had a pain in my chest since and barely slept, I just need to know!! The mental stress is not worth any of this.

Centene is about to get a class action lawsuit against them for mental distress. 1st to threaten layoffs over employee heads for over a week, then threaten more for the upcoming year and then brag and rub it in employee faces that they are going to do alot of hiring in 2025 to fill your position you lost. Management smiling while saying it. I have it all on tape. Laughing and joking during a tumultous time for their employees.

Try to relax and plan the party. Don’t let this your happiness. We only have one life, I don’t want anyone to stress or die over this nonsense. Yes bills have to be paid and we are all in the same fight, we have to fight back and stay healthy.
