You are a clown. Be sure to tell your new employer, if you ever get one, that you love to come into the office and do nothing and that you enjoy ignoring customers. If you'll do it here, you'll do it anywhere because you're lazy. Windstream BS aside, you get paid to do a job that apparently you refuse to do. Scrw me? Scrw you, loser.

"Just quit" ... why would I just quit? Sure, I am looking for a job while on the clock and actively applying but, having Windstream on my resume isn't doing me any favors.

I will work on new certs while getting paid to ignore customers. If I get laid off - awesome. I will get severance and unemployment. At this point, I will make more over the next 6 months than if I had stayed. If I don't get caught doing next to ZERO, yay. I get paid a full time job to study. If you are my co-worker. sc--w you. I know how little you do too.

A good example of that was when they had people sign NDAs to go over seas to train the NOCs replacement and leadership told everyone they were working on a project. Those people thought they were pretty cool and slick. Don't trust anyone there.

Getting laid off out of the voip noc was one of the most stressful things I've delt with. The idea of wanting to get thrown into this situation wasn't fun.

I've got a degree in computer science several desirable certs which made finding another job easy.

This allowed me to get interviews to all 8 of the jobs I applied for and I got 3 offers doing this.

The bad part is it took at least 6 weeks to get interviews, no one called to setup anything quicker than this timeline.

In the end I found a job that paid over 45 percent more than what I was making at windstream.

Looking back I should have left years ago, considering I feel like I left a half million in wages on the table sticking around this place.

You are just a number here and nothing else, leave while you're not competing against your peers when they decide to outsource your group.

Also don't document any proceedures that can be given to an entry level person they will use to replace you.

People who keep claiming they WANT to be laid off make no sense. The complain daily about how much they hate their job and hole to lose it, yet they stay for the pittance of a severance package? That's absurd. Just leave for the greener pasture that everyone believes is out there. Go get a new job paying you 250% more which so many claim to get. Just go and out Windstream in your rear view mirror and be happy since this place does nothing, but make you miserable.

Finding a better job that makes you happy is the real answer. Not riding the Titanic to the bottom of the ocean hoping someone drags you into a life boat before the point of no return.

Quiet quitting is the answer here. Do the bare minimum to get by without being fired (which isnt much) while you actively look for another job. You’ll sc--w the three decent people you know who still work here but they’ll probably understand and join you soon enough.

"Pick me" is not whining. It translates to "poor management and instability is forcing me out of what could have been a great job, so I want a payout for the trouble I must go through to relocate."

Welcome to the club, I worked here for over 15 years and just when I didn't think I could be laid off, it happened.

I found a job that paid 48% more than what I was making base at a place that was happy they found me.

Use your time wisely, the first couple of weeks will go slow, so pick up a book and start reading it while you wait for those recruiters to call you for interviews.

The resume writing place is an absolute joke, what got me a job somewhere else was all the certifications and work experience I had, that place was a waste of time.
