Why does everyone at tmo mostly have degrees from this universities?

Devry and University of Phoenix both have Regional Accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, the same level of accreditation as state universities.
Most of the MBA's I've interacted with at TMUS couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag. T-Mobile got exactly what they wanted with all the paper degrees they've bought. Nothing.
Avoid for profit universities? You mean like Harvard, Princeton…. You do know those are for-profit right? In my opinion you get out of an education what you put into it. 99% of the hires in our group had masters degrees in analytics, and those that had no degree got eliminated, regardless of years of experience. They are looking for the cheapest workforce with the highest edu. So they offer internships and decent pay to newly college grads familiar with the newest technology who leave after a year as opposed to paying twice the salary and higher insurance costs to an aging workforce (over 45 and more than 10 years with the company you cost them too much). Sorry but that’s corporate America.
WGU is non profit and not paid in full. But yeah the others people are going to because the company pays it in full.
Capella, DeVry, Colorado Tech, all those they cover offer a sub par degree. Anyone forward thinking to one day leaving the company should not be getting a degree from a for profit school.
Rather have folks with those degrees than the fake paper ones most H1B have
Not sure which area you work in, but in Technology have never seen a DeVry grad.
I obtained 2 Bachelors and a Masters from TMO… and still get let go.
It’s great for T-Mobile because it gives them the appearance of helping employees better themselves but without y’know actually helping employees do anything that would allow them to get work outside of the company.
TMO covers up to $5,250 tuition for FT employees ($2,500 for PT) but partners with a couple for-profit schools where a larger portion or all of the tuition is covered. These schools are ASU Global, DeVry, Strayer, and WGU.
Not very reputable programs.
T-Mobile is not a place where you need a degree, let alone 4 year. Most of the profiles are for high school graduates or those who can say "yes sir/mam/etc....". Hopefully that answers the situation.
t-mobile pay's 100% of tuition in those universities. employees need 3 GPA or higher and 1 yr stay post degree as requirements
Even the Central Region VP is a DeVry alumna. Explains a lot.
