We all need to CAMBIO EL PASO!! Change the step and move forward and look at other jobs outside of Centene. This place is not to be trusted! Put yourself first this week! We have burned enough energy and stress while working there. Better opportunities ahead elsewhere! Keep your head up ! This may be a surprising blessing in disguise!

This is so frustrating I have a huge tension headache . I feel like Iam about to have a stroke with the uncertainty. Specially now that we have a meeting scheduled October 2 the day lay off announcement.

Yes. Managers of those being RIF’d already know. Keep in mind if manager themselves are on that list, they’d be in the dark just like their team.
In some cases managers are told who on their team to RIF and then a day later find out they are getting let go as well.
Corporate America is like a honey beehive, when they no longer need you, they carry you to the edge and drop you. Do not ever drink the kool aid that those on the board and sitting in the C Suite care about you. You are just a worker bee making them all very wealthy until they no longer need your services.
It’s bold for management to assure anyone is safe. My friend who was laid off in august was assured the same thing…and was promptly laid off smh
I was in a refresher training course today and one of the Supervisors conducting the training was getting important emails near the end of the day and jokingly asked if it was too late to be put on the lay off list. I nearly lost my sh-t. I'm 🤰with my first, moved to a new state and fu----g stressed about this and this bi--h is joking
I work in UM. Our managers this morning were trying to divert our attention on Teams by asking "what are YOU eating this morning? LOL!" all funny haha. Some team members took the bait and were joking with them. Clueless id--ts thinking they are safe, as our regional director assured us in an email we were all SAFE from being let go... SUURREEE.

SO because of a chong ,whole team is affected. thats bs. even ones who are making money. incredible
they probably want us to start looking and leave on our own so they dont have to pay severance
I have not heard anything other than what I read on reddit and on this site. I read somewhere that UM and Richard Chong's team may be affected.
I am not sure where in UM and if Case Management will be affected. 2,000 for this wave and not sure how many more for the next wave in January-February 2024. What I have learned here at Centene is that loyalty means nothing and workers are disposable. It does not seem there is much job security at this company. Corporate America is very cut throat.
I feel very bad for those that will be getting laid off next week. Names are already on a list-its just very difficult concentrating and to go into a weekend not knowing the fate of your position.
Maybe we should all update our resumes and start looking elsewhere. I do not want to have to go through this again in 2024. This is not how you treat those on your one "Team". I felt better before the townhall. That townhall was a joke!!
