Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

November and December Layoffs

As Drew mentioned yesterday there are going to be more layoffs in 2024. How much do you want to bet leadership hasn’t learned their lesson of communicating when layoffs occur and will revert back to how they were during the August layoffs.

If that is the case do you think we are going to find out through another leak to the media or do you think that it’s business as usual for future layoffs?

Centene Executives planted the layoff stories to the media. They wanted their government partners to hear, loud and clear We woke and We broke. They are hoping for a bailout. It was not a whistleblower.

CentDoom. All woke organizations will eventually fall. Just like the rest of America.

I've been through this a time or two. Sadly the more things change...

Things to keep an eye out for:
Random dr-g tests (easy way to reduce staff)
Be mindful of what you are putting in Teams/web sites
If you are given an option to go now, take it. The later rounds almost always have a lesser amount of severance (especially the last round)
Really mind your ps and qs, as any reason to let you go saves them $$$#

In my opinion when I worked for Centene/Health Net. The management from the very top to bottom was incompetent and really had no experience nor knowledge of departments they were supposedly to oversee!

Cenetene hopes people quit, so they do not have to pay severance packages. This is the reason they mentioned 2024 to be a hard year.

Business as usual. It feels like torture to make people wait for over a week to know their fate.
Shame on Centene. Feels like a slow death. Once it was leaked, notifications should have gone out this week. They did not want to spend the money to change the dates on the layoff documents and severance documents. So still waiting to next week to give the official axe.

They set the record straight. There will be more layoffs so nobody should be surprised. That helps in case there’s another insider leak.

Secondly I’d say they’ll also tightly and control the planning more than ever before to catch those that may have loose lips.

Nothing really change though. If they want you gone, you’re gone.
