Finding out about the layoffs this week through social media. Having employees wait until todays town hall to see what departments will be effected. Most do disgusting display of “humanity” I’ve ever seen. Laughing, jokes, layoffs through 2024. Who is effected? Who knows. We can all have anxiety until next week now. And to hear about all their great plans while 2000 of us won’t be here! The planted questions in the audience and cutting off the zoom chat -

I'm a supervisor in Rich Chong's org and we haven't been told anything, but managers and up have been discussing the budget for months. Hiring freezes and no backfills.
Was anyone else assigned a CEU titled Embracing Unexpected Change it’s about lay offs.

i feel you all! i felt all was scripted and the audacity to smile and laugh while people are anxious thinking now what to feed their family? just very disappointing
Honestly it was so gross. Using that time to literally joke about dog cr-p while your employees wait on pins and needles to see if they have a job come Monday. The canned questions at the end that produced no answers, just word salad. The fact they only took a few minutes to address it at all and then it was business as usual. The fact they rented out a gross, expensive stadium! They made over a billion dollars last year, their ceo makes 13 mil. They made 2.71 billion in profit last year. A 45.86% increase. They serve our poorest populations, how are they profiting that much and firing folks?
Have they said which departments will be affected?
Definitely gross behavior. I imagine for the majority that do survive, they will be setting up interviews and gtfo too
And they still told us nothing. Really leaving people to worry over the weekend.
