I was let go in August.
Is it normal behavior? Anybody in the same boat?
- Instead of being sad I’m super happy elated and celebrating.
- I am not searching any jobs, instead enjoying life, relaxing and spending day with family and in gym.
- I am not worried about future or gap in the resume.
- Some days I try and look for the job in LinkedIn but it feels like I don’t know anything anymore. Feels like a failure, I think even if I apply I won’t be shortlisted. The search seems endless.
- Some days I don’t want to put the efforts to get associated with the new company, people. I will have to restart the rapport building, learning curve etc etc.
- I have never felt so disassociated with technology but it’s different after the layoff, I don’t want to upskill or know what’s happening. I want to remain in a shell.
Some days I don’t want to do anything, I may turn a lazy b-m with this approach and will never be able to get a job.
Fellows sailing in the same ship, please let me know how you kept yourself motivated to search the job, upskill yourself
