Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Layoffs for you, private jets and steak dinners for me

Disgusting display during today's Town Hall meeting. They planted two people in the crowd to ask softball questions and disabled comments on the zoom call. What a bunch of cowards.

I felt the same way. Told my husband that I understood why we all were silenced as they would none-stop be interrupted with our concerns…but, come on….really? So there were only 2 people in the audience that had questions??? Then, everyone else wanted to talk quality??? No way. I think you are right that they were planted and/or the audience was told to limit reactions and questions about this layoff. Honestly, I can't believe they were joking and talking about how much money there would be with Centene and how successful the company will be. Like someone said above, hide your Rolexes and such so you don't remind people you make too much so the hard workers that make you successful are let go to save you from making less. I'm disgusted that I work for Centene these days. I can't stand that we nurses are essentially recruiters for the numbers they want only to promise members things we can't possibly do in the 3 months we “help” them whilst trying to meet the ridiculous metrics they give us. It's no wonder our members are unhappy and our STARS plummeted. It's all about the dollar, not our members who desperately need our help.

Can you believe how cheesy that town hall was? The two planted people in the crowd that asked questions were so blatantly obvious that they were given those questions. The guy that asked a second question about culture looked petrified

  1. the first question was “how will you help the people getting laid off” and wile the answer was not detailed, it was a genuine question.
  1. comments have never been turned on during a company-wide meeting

this is bad enough; don’t make it worse with your conspiratorial baloney.

I love how the executives try to dress down during townhalls, not wearing or hiding their Rolexes.
