Poor judgement to hold this townhall this week. Should have the townhall a week or so after the layoff. Because l keep thinking what do l care about all of this bs, l do not know if l am going to be a part of this organization as of next week.

They should have gone ahead and notified people this week since the cat was out of the bag. They are drawing it out, cruel and unusual punishment.
These “Executives” don’t care about the employees. They have their golden parachutes and don’t have to worry about $$$. It’s the people doing the work that earn the company money, not these schumcks.
we should've heard it directly from them, not thru the grapevine or here on thelayoff. Also, why still have the town hall? think of the coordination already in place: plan tickets, hotel rooms, Raymond James meeting space, the post meeting reception, etc. That's a lot of $$ already put out and if they cancelled, it'd just be gone with probably little refunded. Who knows how much was spent on all of this.... maybe someone's salary worth? I'm thinking there's a lot of wasted $$ that could go toward hiring and retaining quality resources to get our systems where they should be.
They had no intention of letting people know ahead of time. They were doing damage control with the email earlier this week and were then pretty much forced to acknowledge during townhall.
"Have a nice weekend! Talk to some of you Monday."
I disagree with this. I’d rather they be upfront and tell us it’s coming. The outcome remains the same, but it’s less of a cold and calculated approach.
