The latest on number of Agents at Allstate.
In total 16,016 as of August 2023 if you include Exclusive Agents (EA), Exclusive Financial Specialists (EFS) and and MSA agents (employee remote agents) and Independent Agencies. This is down from 16,167 a month earlier. When you calculate that 272 new agents who were appointed among the various channels in August, somewhere around 439 agents are no longer with Allstate.
Breakdown:
EA was 7,526 last month and with 98 new appointments it would equal 7,624 - the actual number of EAs is now 7,478, so it appears 146 agents left by termination or selling in August. The last breakdown of multi-location owners and individuals is 1,158 EAs owning more than one office and 3,931 EAs who are single agency owners.
Virtual agents remained unchanged at 246 and their numbers are included in EA counts.
MSA (these are salaried employee agents who work remotely) started with 373 and 78 were hired. The actual number left is 365. Looks like a high turnover rate with 86 leaving..
IA’s started with 7,690 and added 72 new appointments, but ended with 7,601. It is impossible to figure out whether these appointments who left were due to conversions to National General or surrendered their appointment.
These numbers are not official nor from Allstate.
So if Allstate reports 40k employees and 10k are in India then that’s one out of four. Then they report only 8000 independent agents left. Why when they hire a remote agent they give them a A number previously reserved for actual physical retail locations. Just curious, is the 8000 left inculde the random hire that works remote from their apartment. They give them an A number. I have seen this when a frustrated customer called after having 100/300 State Farm then sold by a remote with A id number 20/40. So tell me how many physical offices can a new customer walk into. The remote new A agents are horribly inefficient. End rant
OP left off a zero. Do you report to Merten? Heard he is often being spoon fed numbers that don't always add up.
Wait til yall see Q3 numbers if ya into over-salted baked goods.

What other areas have been verified?
Is this in tech or agents?
And what exactly makes up allstate corporate?
It's not just 300 layoffs coming. Maybe for your area but a lot more verified company wide.
Good. They don't do anything anyways except lower the compensation pool for the rest of us. Or come up with stupid things like let's layoff 4000 employees and then do a reorg.
That’s it??? Only 300?
Well - that's good enough for me...
