Retirement and severance options for those RIFd

For those attending the RIF meetings this week, has anyone heard about the options for those who are 60ish and been at Anthem for a while (10+ years)? For example, is it possible to collect severance without doing the weekly check-in, etc.? Older posts from a while ago mentioned that as an option.

Replying to this comment: "And there are 2 types of meetings- RIF with Supplemental Unemployment and RIF without."

Interesting, so it sounds like if you're of a certain age (maybe 65+?), you can get full severance without applying for unemployment benefits and receiving the SUB.

I was in the RIF meeting on Monday and there were quite a few of us in the 60ish - 70ish category. It seems like they (HR) didn't really have any clear answers. And there are 2 types of meetings- RIF with Supplemental Unemployment and RIF without. I was in the second category.
