Outsourcing - it should be illegal. It takes away Canadian jobs, and giant corporations get away with paying their employees from India next to nothing. This is WRONG!

If Suncor could hire someone who has great credentials and could provide better outcomes but with less operating cost. Why not?
@2eiz+1oO7x7ie - You are referring to offshoring not outsourcing. Offshoring means getting work done in a different country. Outsourcing refers to contracting work out to an external organization, can be within the country.
Why not outsource the executive jobs to India?
The outsourcing is an absolute night are at Suncor. A friend of mine says the supply chain turnaround can be weeks
In 2021 with the Cenovus-Husky merger I lost my job. I applied for a position at Suncor to be part of energy transition. The offer I received was low so I turned it down, offering instead to consult. Now two years later I am thankful for starting up my consulting business as I am not tied to one organization.
Don't forget where Kruger came from. They outdourced left and right there. All Quarry Park buildings including thei main one look like gost towers

They outsourced to India thousands of jobs along with ExxonMobil.
There is nothing we can do. No canadian politician can stop it.
There are only 2 Presidential Canadidates that tried to stop it. Ross Perot and Donald Trump. Look how Trump is portrayed.
If roles are being outsourced then it’s not a reduction in headcount , it’s a reduction in Canadian made jobs!

Anyone know how many jobs have been outsourced and which depts. I’ll assume this is above and beyond the 1500. Making the loss of Canadian jobs much higher!!!
Years ago Gulf Canada outsourced all the engineering to what was then VECO.
All of IT if they can.
