my former team of nine people, which has been reduced to three souls, have been told to absorb the entire team’s workload. So the work didn’t go away at all and Sieverts comment that they won’t just be piling more work on fewer people seems to be false.

Loss of team members plus absolutely no OT in Field OPs. We leave sites down all weekend, don't roll at night. All of the techs left got 30% more sites, legacy Sprint project managers implementing all sorts of labor intensive "money saving" projects that take even more time away from actually fixing stuff. Network is slowly crumbling. Morale in the toilet, NO ONE in Ulfs team gives a cr-p about anything but 5PM.
Sprint-ing to the bottom!
Do more with less oh and heres a slice of pizza has always been the way
I knew I was going to get laid off. How?
- My Age
- My salary
- My Bosses being stupid frat boys
But then again, nobody's reached out to me about anything, so if something goes belly up, oh well.
Exactly what I did - made bonus, merit and a package their best option. The setup was all planned, but the person doing it was stupid. Their best option (including the director) was a package for me, which I gladly accepted. Facts are a funny thing.
Pay attention. Never forget. And know...they are getting the list ready for the next time. When that is who knows?
“ Unfortunately...there aren't any package options if you stay on the island.”
Document everything. If they try to lay you off for not going “above and beyond”, make it so a package is their best option.
Good job guys
Everyone should boycott Tmobile. Literally walkout!!!! SLT cannot and will not run this company. They don’t know how to because they are so out of touch with everyone in positions.
All it takes is for everyone to choose a day to boycott and let your voice be heard!!!! The employees run this company
That's the way it goes in large organizations.
The work void is quickly filled
"Either less work can get done, or the same amount of work can get done with lower quality. My hours aren’t going up, and if that’s a problem I’ll take a package too."
"Good, fast, cheap. Any two, but never all three. If you want something good and fast, it won't be cheap. If you want something good and cheap, it won't be fast."
Unfortunately...there aren't any package options if you stay on the island.
Either less work can get done, or the same amount of work can get done with lower quality. My hours aren’t going up, and if that’s a problem I’ll take a package too.
“This layoff was much worse. 25+% of corporate positions eliminated in most orgs. Some orgs were 50+%”
Yep retail ops & planning was hit at 50%ish. Sla-ghterhouse.
This layoff was much worse. 25+% of corporate positions eliminated in most orgs. Some orgs were 50+%
This layoff wasn't as bad as when the ATT merger was denied. That was 10% across all orgs.
Man up and tell your boss that the deadlines need to be changed, the milestones won't be hit, etc., and don't think twice about working only 40 hours. Let your boss carry the water, own the problems and stress out. Don't be gutless like all of the leaders are throughout the company.
The amount of useless busy work was at an all time high, don’t pretend like all 9 people were doing valuable work
Congrats on not being laid off.
