Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

They are motivated by profits only

I’ve been here 14 years and believe it or not, when I first started it was a pretty good place to work. Slowly, year over year, this place has gotten to be a toxic sh-t hole of a company. They are motivated by profits only. They do not care about the members and certainly do not care about the employees. Their greed has driven them to move work offshore and to spend millions on implementing AI.
The only reason I am staying for now is to hopefully get my RIF and severance so I can have them pay me to look for a new job full-time.

I had the same experience at Humana, we found out the truth on this site before we were told anything by our leaders. Very sad & all they talk about is transparency. It’s sickening. They do not care about anything but money period.

Decades of service to the company, started when the company was only in 1 state. It changed from a great place to work to a toxic, dog-eat-dog, profits at all cost employer. Executive level has exploded while workers get cut, and the amount of money the executives make is obscene compared to average worker salary.

Yep, managers telling folks not to worry....then we find out the true scope of the layoffs ONLY because of this board. Definitely more down the pike, that is guaranteed...just in time for Christmas....
