That has always been my biggest fear - NO severance. There are no laws that say an employer MUST give any severance or package when they lay off. And most employers are in "at will" states or incorp in Delaware to get the tax incentives even though they have no office there. I feel like the over all health insurance world is coming to a crashing end in the US. making us all be forced on to government care. So many companies are no longer in the commercial industry only Medicaid and Medicare.
