How did we get to the point where it's every man/woman for him/herself?

As the industry consolidated, often self preservation kicked in an effort to stay employed
What you refer to as a culture of collaboration I refer to as other people taking credit for my effort at work or using my work to support their own narrative. People have wised up and are no longer letting that occur. As soon as all the rewards are shared equally by the team, we can start to collaborate again.
My LCO Core Team leader says it is offensive to assume someone's gender. Maybe take that into consideration!
