I'm currently a team leader who's been with the company over 10 years. I've worked multiple positions and been a team leader for 5 years in two different areas. Now Sams is a great company to work for I have to say that but the only thing I dislike is that NO one helps with promotions anymore. I've been trying to go into management for four years now. I'm very well trained in just about every area, the managers constantly call me to do multiple things for them throughout the day. I've spoken with every manager in my club to let them know that I'm interested in becoming a manager. I ask for feedback, and no one communicates but compliment me every day I'm just not understanding what more I need to do.

Wrong… Sams Club is a completely TOXIC place to work for!
Sorry to hear that , but as usual in this company. You get punished for being good at your job . If is the decision of the GM or your manager to lost his comfort over your promotion. Believe me . You are the one to sacrifice. Also in the other hand . If you are not in the bubble or MM group of I like that guy . Also not where to go . Hard work can help you somewhat to get promotion but most of the time you going to find a really hard wall of favoritism.
When you have the chance, go in and take the management test. That is the start. When you pass that send an email to your managers letting them know you would like to move up into MIT. I know they recently changed promotions for team leads. Can't help there; I missed the zoom calls.
Your managers don't want you to move up because they'll lose you and they'll have to do all the work themself. So they're playing d-mb because they're lazy.
You need to find out what clubs in your area have an M.I.T opening and apply for it. No one’s going to recruit you. Go after it yourself.
