Yes, I still have a job but for how long? I doubt layoffs will stop any time soon. In addition, I know for a fact my work is about to at least double. We lost several team members and somebody will have to do what they used to do. I doubt we'll be getting any help any time soon, so this is about to make our lives much harder.

The company is implementing AI more and more behind the scenes. As are all companies. This is going to happen everywhere over the next few years.
So you won't be doing much more, as the bots will handle most of the work. Once the bots are doing all the work...well, the world will not look the same in five years.
Is the expectation for those who stay to pick up the slack? Seems like we should prioritize projects based on staffing. But that would be too logical!
