My manager was horrible. Never onboarded me, had unrealistic expectations during my learning phase. HR never did anything when I complained and I basically felt pushed out. JT was a toxic horrible work environment! I had chest pains every day working for this place!

Layoffs should start in Cigna Pharmacy because there is a lot of duplicate roles, lack of competence and leaders who still won’t adopt to agile. This dept doesn’t like ESI and blames them for their own mistakes or being difficult instead of partnering.
HR what’s easiest instead of dealing with the root cause. in with the professional and competent ones, but politics plays a role in HR decisions, and it’s easier to follow. What a leader ask them to do rather than deal with the leader, who is the root cause of a toxic unproductive workplace.
At Cigna these toxic leaders are incompetent in performing their job responsibilities and more into protecting themselves and others in the click.
Has nothing to do about being a fit.
Competent professionals who are likable are often targets for those who really aren’t the fit that should go (like that I described above).
This is something I learned and it made me feel a lot better about some horrible things I went through. The reason that HR is not on your side is because it is a lot easier and cheaper to get rid of one person that doesn’t fit in, no matter how stellar and employee, than to restructure/replace a whole team/department. It’s not personal it’s business, a very very sad truth. Don’t look back!
My manager was absolutely horrible; never managed before and should never manage again. Unfortunately, HR isn't there for you but for the managers. The company doesn't care about anyone, you're just another number!!
You are not alone
This site is about layoffs….Large companies don’t care so don’t take it to hard, it’s not you. It’s their loss cause they get to spend thousands hiring and training somebody else. A bad manager can cost a company millions. I think shareholders are finally getting it.
