No, when you are terminated for cause, it is effective immediately. This would be in instances where there is an ethics, conduct, etc. concern.
Do you still get 60 day notice if terminated?
Yes, if you are displaced you will get severance and at least a 60 day notice, working or non-working.
If you are terminated for cause, then you are not entitled to severance.
