"I thought Nester was brought in to fix all this?"
Nope, they brought him for two reasons:
I do like the new strategy of "paying hackers to find holes in security" as now they can pretend that their Swiss-cheese-like security is so good that "even hackers didn't find this vulnerability."
"
I mean, are we really surprised? They just laid off SOO Many people that had their hands in security in one way or another. "
This had nothing to do with layoffs. All these people that supposedly "had their hands in security" have been laser focused on introducting lock downs, barriers, filters, and so on, one after the other. Hack away folks, but don't even think about checking your Gmail to retrieve a temp pass code, even though a personal email was one of the suggested option to get the code.
Well that inviting in of hackers seemed to work well...
If is Hoover team it would be karma.
"And they want me to attach my banking information to get Auto Pay. It'll never happen," one person wrote.

Oh no, it's as if Cyber spending all their time on IT lock down's didn't actually map to the reasons we're getting hacked... who would have guessed this, maybe only every engineer(that is literate) in the company. I'm so certain cyber will change their ways now.
Uncarrier
Next move
So who is getting fired for this latest unacceptable breach?
Nevrmind, I forgot that only the rank and file get whacked at TMO.
What a colossal joke this company has become.
This was intentional.
Not surprising at all. Security clearly is not a priority. Won't be either unless one of the senior leaders accounts get hacked. Wouldn't shock me if they used a different carrier though lol
I thought Nester was brought in to fix all this?
I mean, are we really surprised? They just laid off SOO Many people that had their hands in security in one way or another. Never mind the fact that mgt turns a blind eye to the antiquated systems and software under the hood half of the time.
