I'm in my fifties. That's a constant source of anxiety while working at DXC. I know my days here are numbered. The only question is when it'll be my turn.

Sadly mid fifties and only uk employee for my contract, no chance of vr! But they are paying for my pension (big thanks to Hpe for ring fencing my previous contract)
I'm also over 50. I followed the DXC strategy of not spending too much money in my own life and saved every penny ready for the day we all expect. I could have retired at 50, but while this stupid company wants to pay us a bit more I'm just going to take the money. I've been thinking for years it can't last, but it seems to. Meanwhile every missed pay rise is justification for doing 6% less.
“You must be really badly paid” or have good redundancy terms.
I’m the latter and wish they’d make me redundant.
"I've had both pay rises and been involved with WFRs (open VR applied got rejected, twice) "
You must be really badly paid
Don't wish to be pedantic but I've had both pay rises and been involved with WFRs (open VR applied got rejected, twice) in my 50s at DXC.
"In the UK and over 50? (tick), then no need for payrises or wfr offers"
Mid 50s working here, what anxiety?
The only anxiety is that you will be deemed too valuable when you and everyone else applies for VR?
Given the daft amount of cost cutting that's going on in Q2, VR can't be far way in Q3 or Q4.
I'm mid 50s - will be offering to fall on my own petard this time too. Need to work to 67, and that excludes this place
You guys are all the brain trust of DXC Technology. We need you guys for sure in the turnaround strategy.
I've hit 60 so I'll offer myself up at the next round of WFR.
