Any luck find new jobs?

Those who were laid off, have you had any luck finding new jobs in other companies?

Keep the faith, one thing UHC does is pay well. But then, that just gives rise to more potential to be laid off. Start with something 10 - 20% less than you were making and see where it gets you. I also read a book about the job market and ways to get your foot in the door at smaller companies. If you’re applying to another large healthcare company, there are most likely dozens of other applicants and you have to get past their AI resume software.

Yes, I wasn’t that happy in my job with healthcare economics, so started applying to positions this June (1 year after I made a move from Payment Integrity) I was offered a job at Humana a month after I was laid off from United in August, and now make a little more money and also get to work with a good group of people in the office 4 days a week. UHC is ever changing and operates more like 100 smaller companies than one big organization. Don’t ever believe though you are more valuable than customers or shareholders. No matter what the VP’s or Sir Witty tells you.

I was laid off in July. I started seriously applying for jobs at around the end of that month. Had 3 actual interviews after countless of submitted applications (many of those were to UHC btw). Finally hired for a job that offered me a similar salary to what I was making at uhc. It was way harder to find a job than I imagined given my experience.

Market is tough, no question. Have been networking like he-l since early August, already 14 interviews for about 7 different roles, no luck yet. The last role I interviewed for had almost 1200 applicants... kind of ridiculous.

Previously a clinical quality consultant and that itself is a difficult position to find in other companies . I agree with the comment , it’s hard and they mention that likely to pursue other candidates 🙄

Had a few interviews and then asked for my base pay and then I don’t get a message after that . 4x interviews already

But please everyone let’s keep strong

No, had a couple of interviews but mo offer. I thought the interview I had last week went really well but told me that I was a strong candidate but lacked on skill that I could have learned easily. Very frustrating and I am trying to keep hope but it is so had.
