Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Can Employees fire the CEO ?

Why not ? Everyone works for the betterment of the organization and the investors. If the majority of employees deem a CEO to be incompetent, lazy and unfit, they should be able to fire the CEO. Let’s act, let’s own the destiny and get rid of the corrupt CEO-CFO-CHRO criminals.

Only the Board of Directors can fire the C.E.O.

Dave and Luca are doing exactly what the activist investor’s want (paying dividends even though it is bankrupting Seagate) so little chance of any meaningful change. Quiet Quitting/Work slowdown is about all that left for regular workers, not sure how we can go any slower without going backwards. Most people would love to be busier.

CEO can fire us by agreeing to layoffs, while only the Board can fire the CEO. Institutional and Activist shareholders can apply pressure to the Board to replace a CEO

No, employees can't directly fire the CEO, but they can persuade the BOD to fire the fucher.

Nope, employees can't fire the CEO. All employees can do is find a better job and quit.
