Just like the UAW!!! We need to strike!! We have nothing to lose!! Soon all of the US based workforce will be replaced by AllPune or overseas vendor. Time to strike is now. It’s time to make Allstate pay….

Fools you can't strike without a union. And a union would never be supported enough at Allstate to get the representation. Unions do not protect against layoffs anyways and our pay structure and benefits are at or above industry averages. And what employee wants to pay out money for limited impacts that union representation would provide this company.
To those countering this please provide examples of where unions are in place at other insurance companies and what benefit the employees of those companies have received for their union representation?
Hey clown- unionizing does absolutely nothing for nod security. If it did, the US would still lead the world in manufacturing jobs. Spend more time working than complaining and I think you will be pleasantly surprised how good our company can be. Or you can simply crawl back under your rock and live in misery

Allstate is already in layoff mode with meetings taking place next week to finalize Phase 2 layoffs. There has been a delay (deeper cuts targeted) so look for those soon.
Phase 3 will be in Q1 2024 and probably another 10-15.
If employees want an effective strike, it has to be when profits are high and employers can’t find workers. The optics are currently bad and the leverage nonexistent.

I for one would vote against a union. It would not be worth the risk to my job and I do not choose to pay for it. I would rather play it out get laid off and take my 18 years worth of severance first.
As much as I would like to agree Allstate would squash this before it could be organized. It has been tried before and the organization took too long before those involved were "eliminated". And I think many Allstate employees left fear too much for their jobs or are to much defeated to even vote to accept a union. Also many do not want to pay into union representation until the economy increases and they have the available money to.
