@1mjh+1oD7mOFs . Intel sold the 5G modem business to Apple in 2019, five years later Apple still relies on Qualcomm chipset. In fact, Apple has just agreed to use Qualcomm 5G modems in its iPhones through 2026. This again confirms how incompetent the old Infineon wireless team (that made up the bulk of old iCDG) was.

From experience lots of Europeans are arrogant and worse, act and think as if they are better than other people. Are they really doing well? Who is truly rich? What European country is truly autonomous?If not for Nato and US force they would have been dog food since a while back.

In terms of mobile, I'm not sure missing the iphone business was the ki-ler blow. The real issue was the purchase of the arrogant but incompetent Infineon wireless in 2010/11 that didn't have a 4G modem at that time (already at least 2 years behind others). When BK realized it was heading for trouble, he hired MR in 2015 to try to turn it around but he eventually ki-led the business altogether, losing billions.
