Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Attention Employees

We take all Pulse feedback seriously and encourage you take better advantage to share with leaders any inefficiencies or opportunities to streamline our business lines.

The freedom of a forum like this may feel liberating, but it is not appropriate to share sensitive internal company discussions like this with the general public. These are not just the whims of oversensitive leaders, but essential concerns tied with compliance and the protection of USAA’s reputation. Keep the ship afloat helps all of us.

Please consider abandoning this forum. I know some malcontents outside USAA, perhaps those who felt they could bully leaders into enabling their “work” from home, hope something will come from their ranting. All it does instead is poison the well.

If you continue to post here, don’t be surprised if there is a correlation with your trajectory at the company. These posts will brainwash you into a toxic mindset that has no place in the pursuit to give our Members the best products and service that we can.

I’ve never heard a single other normal employee say this, or even talk like this informally. What is this garbage thread?

Just ignore these people. Downsizing our low productivity employees who feel entitled has been badly needed for a long time and is great for our bottom line. Other banks are doing it too. Wayne is doing a great job, and I’m excited about our future as a team. This transformation executive appointment shows he is committed to making sure USAA does not remain the dinosaur bones some of the here are worshipping.

I know VPs that have shun employees for challenging them. Fix the culture if you don’t want people coming here. It is sad to see all these all these comments but it is the unfortunate reality the leadership has created here. If you are truly a leader at this organization then start addressing internally what you are seeing here. We all know Pulse is not totally confidential so people will not trust it. People challenge leaders the right way but then leaders block them from advancing. The action is on EMG and then you will see this forum clear up.

This site has a lot of toxic content and takes no doubt, but the internal feedback mechanisms have been a black hole the last few years. Trust being broken down is why activity on sites like this have proliferated. Many folks that come to read what’s about the more true pulse of employee sentiment here love USAA but don’t see anyway the company will move forward while Wayne is CEO and folks like Tamla and Amala are on the EC. Many great employees have already left. Many more will after the bonus cycle next spring. While I want to have hope for the future of this company it’s pretty bleak right now. That’s reality.

How did that work out for the thousands laid off who never even heard of this site?
