Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

No Claims layoffs again this week

Until I see and hear of it happening for myself I from this point forward consider each and every person that posts at this board full of sh-t about everything.

No way 2000 adjusters are being hired. That is just simple trolling nonsense. I don't care who or what said it.

Companies do consider AI beings in their systems as hires and it looks good on paper.

Regardless new Claims hires will not be from within the U.S. in any way. That much is certain. Out budget s much less than this year for 2024 and holds no room for any new salaries in any area and level of Claims. These new hires are likely AI that the company can report as employees under the tech advancement commerce act.

Computers are driving cars on our roads and parallel parking.

AI works 24/7, needs no benefit packages, is accurate, can be scaled to do the job of thousands, and doesn't post hate notes to Tommy on layoff forums.

I guar-un-tee you that those stuffed shirts in Chicago's ivory tower is salivating over how to get this implemented the minute they are able.

If in fact they occur, it wouldn’t be in the claim adjusting ranks based on any 2k commitment to hire. With that said, the questions to senior leadership should be how much of the 2k get them to the original and planned staffing plan (e.g keeping pace with turn over) and how much are true adds to staff. The second component is, if true adds to staff then the expense load is huge and becoming more expensive is not an option for an extremely underperforming business unit, so what indirect claim handling functions get right sized within and outside of claims to fund the increase in head count. These become the telling questions that should be asked of senior leadership to bring transparency or the lack thereof. We need numbers not narratives and accept nothing less.. #bebrave

I would be surprised by mass claim layoffs due to high voluntary turnover this year. The question is where the 2000 "New" adjusters would be based....The US, or Pune India.

CB told the agents at a conference this week that Claims is hiring 2,000 adjusters over the next couple of years because they recognize we don’t have enough. The question is, where are they coming from?
