Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

UAW set to go on strike this evening.

Please support them, they want 40% increase in pay, 32 hour work week, more PTO. The automotive rank and file are protesting the extremely high pay for CEO's. This includes Stankey, overpaid like old of monkey dung.

I'll support them, unless they raise the price of cars to cover there pay. I want some support too.

The union is sick and tired of CEO and their henchmen eating up all the profit, for performing little, to no work. They rightfully want some of that action. Things are changing, these greedy CEO's are getting their just due. I mean, does anyone really think Stankey is worth 2M per month? Highly doubtful.

Someone, somewhere will have to pay for their great new contract, if they get it... probably non-union employees losing their jobs, and of course customers. But as long as some factory workers can get a few extra hours of rest per week, who cares about the rest of those people, right?

32 hour work week and a 40% pay increase? Can that be sustained? I’m union, not partial to either side but dang.

UAW death sentence if they strike. Current terms outlined by UAW are not reasonable nor fair bargaining. This will force automakers hand; they will outsource these jobs to other parts of the world. The nerve of the UAW to come to the table with these terms and conditions. Company should just walk away. Enjoy that union Stike pay!
