I've been hearing that many seasoned employees have been offered early retirement packages and most of not all have accepted.
Also, some employees were laid off in the past few months.
I've seen some colleagues whom I thought would be a lifer at Synovus suddenly take retirement with a few making announcements on social media.
Can anyone confirm or deny if this is fact?

You are correct. Early retirement was offered to people aged 50+ with a certain number of years worked and grade. They’ve done this every few years. Many took it but don’t know exact number.
As far as layoffs, depends on who you ask if it happened or if was just performance.
Not sure if another is coming or not or who they’ll look at to let go. Curious if anyone knows.
