To the person saying it sounds like an asset protection thing, asset protection got decimated during this "transformation" as well.

This appears to be true. I went through the slack channel for retail audit questions and every auditor in there I found had a deactivated account.

👇🏼 someone who has no clue how things work.

That same poster that’s been in the back could cause TMO a ton of stress in potential litigation, same thing with inaccurate prices. And also, there’s more shady sh-t that ME’s do than “steal phones.”

Tenured employees know the system front and back and come up with the craziest schemes.

But oh well, they’re gone now anyway. But saying they weren’t important is just ignorant.

Reality is, they aren't really needed. It doesn't matter how tight your operations are, the idea of an auditor showing up always creates unnecessary stress, anxiety and pandemonium. You don't need an auditor to figure out if someone has cr-p inventory controls. You can't get away with slick sh-t without your shrink getting flagged or your inventory replenishment being shut off. Why do we have someone on payroll to verify if the Apple accessories have price stickers? Or--to verify if the same integrity line poster (that's always been there) is still up in the backroom? How about to check if priority trainings were done on-time (but from 90-days ago?) Field leadership already has to audit stores once a quarter and an auditor maybe shows up once every 2-3 years. The problem also: T-Mo has created so much unnecessary process that ultimately makes zero difference to anything. The point I'm trying to make is: who gives a fu-k? Really.

"What did they do?
Honest question."

TL;DR they make sure the money stores bring through the front door doesn't go out through the back door.

"Good. I think every RSM living in fear of them has bad for morale. Every Tuesday morning I drive to work in fear if a auditor waiting since my district hasn't been audited recently. I feel like what they did could be split between the Sr. Manager of the district and thr FAPM."

Tell me you su-k at operations without telling me you su-k at operations. Why would you "fear" them if you're doing what you need to be doing?

"Doesn't sound like it's all that needed"

So we do not care about compliance?

Their job was to make sure that our store personnel were compliant, that our inventory was accurate, that the frontline was on their Ps and Qs, that they were following proper procedures, etc etc etc.
