Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

The next All Hands….

For those of us left, we should not allow for the bullsh-t marketing show that will happen. Figure out a way to make them uncomfortable. Don’t allow for the “we made so much money this year” cr-p. Don’t clap for anything and at Q&A call them all out.

I would love to see how the SLT responds to a question about the cr-ppy layoff process. Making people wait up to 5 weeks with no idea when they will be notified, then sending 15 minute meeting invites with the director. That was brutual, and I've been through many of these before. That was inhumane.

I don't think people would have such sh---y attitudes if it wasn't a SH---Y environment! I used to care. Now I could give a flying fu-k. I'm just coasting now. What are they going to do - fire me?! I'm already safe and still don't give a fu-k.

"
You mayflies don't know how brutal layoffs have been in the past. 2012 after the ATT acquisition attempt failed saw a 10% reduction across the entire company."

Not sure what you think a "mayfly" is but this is false. There was no 10% reduction.

I said that. I still say you people with your sh---y attitudes need to leave. You’re making it worse for the rest of us who are trying to do good things for our co-workers. Just leave if you hate it so much.

That must be a record for downvotes. -72 for the person saying people should leave and take their attitude. Maybe the a--hole needs to look in the mirror.

I always cringe when I see people carrying signs with Mike's face on it. He does not care about you stop feeding his ego!

Just say you have a conflict and will join on the webex. Don’t let your manager push you into the meeting room.

Hi Mike!!!!! I’m from the Bellingham CEC. I love magenta and piercings!!!! 2 questions. When I click any button in Atlas for customers that live in Winthrop it makes my computer beep once. It doesn’t do that for any other customer base I talk to. Can you fix that? Also I love your smiley face cardigan, where can I buy one?

You guys know all the Q&A is staged?
They give questions to employees who are so excited to be asked.

Want to make an impact? Walk out a few minutes into it.

You won’t cause you are all cowards.

Don't be surprised if the CEO does the next one remotely, from a store, Alaska airlines, wherever.
But it is crystal clear at this point that the entire workforce lives in fear, and no one has any backbone, anyway.
Fantasizing about speaking truth to power makes is all anyone will ever do.

They're already getting in interns to do more work. I've seen it.

Ask why there are postings on LinkedIn... "We are hiring!...are you a recent college graduate with a couple of years experience...
If so, check out our amazing opportunity!"

Talk about being tone deaf and bad timing.

You're telling me there are no qualified people in the layoff pool to choose from? Or are we blatantly firing older, qualified employees that make too much and are looking for someone young, green and cheap?

Bravo, bravo.

Agree with OP. No cheering, no clapping, etc. Yeah, it won't be everyone but even if a quarter of the audience joins in the small displays of discontent, it'll be notable and cause discomfort.

Wishful thinking, will never happen. Group psychology is weird, and too many weaklings at our company (myself included).
