Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

How many rebadged people have already left?

Just curious how many rebadged analysts have already left.
Execs did not account for third level work, and it is a shitshow. I know they are trying to polish the turds as fast as possible
How many just said “nope” and quit/went somewhere else?

It won't be 100% probably closer to 70-75%

If you work in a first or second level help desk role you'd be wise to start looking for a job now. Third level will be a bit safer, but all HCL managers are currently being asked to justify every person's onshore job so I bet at least half of the third level stuff goes as well.

SF is the most expensive engagement in HCL's portfolio and the execs have made it clear that the costs must come down.

And is it true that in December it will be announced rhat HCL will be offshoring 100% of the recently rebadged SF employees in infrastructure? Is it some bric play as HCL offshores to the Philippines and not India? Mgmt not so transparent in this regard. Their faces would make great dart board posters, upper tier blowhard obsequious wholes from planet a--hole if so true, lay off the blow ,,, hard

How big of a risk does state farm management consider India being part of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia and China) and maybe Saudi Arabia for these future deals with HCLand current India analysts? Just gotta wonder how far India will go wigh these blocs with nations that we are having serious issues with currently? Anyone in ET mgt have anything intelligent to proffer on this subject? Might send the ESG crowd in a real tizzy just thinking about it.

I suggest every American should travel outside of the 1st world comfort zone at least once in their life.

For a short time afterwards, they will realize how insignificant the problems talked about on this site are.

Clean water isn't a concern of yours.....let that sink in.

@1rho no benefits sounds about right.

Fun fact: the #1 feedback received during HCL's recent employee satisfaction survey for the SF account was that the folks in the offshore centers wished they had access to clean water in their workspace.

It's a f'ing sweatshop. Pathetic

Why would any self respecting person stay at SF? Worse job and CEzero

@pal the wonderful thing about outsourcing is that none of it is State Farm's problem. The 70% figure is true and it's coming from on-high at HCL. They're not paying 6 figure US salaries+benefits when they can have people in Manilla and Delhi do it for 20/hr and no benefits.

SF was sold a bill of goods by a company of conmen and has no idea what's coming for them next March.

The systems already go down so much more than they did pre-COVID. I can’t wait for Tipsord to get what’s coming to him next year.

In our area there has been zero direction from HCL other than fill out your timesheet. Their hires have little interest in learning what we do. Good thing we have a pretty good self motivated team or it would be worse. I can't see how HCL can fire us right now. But if they do State Farm will get what they deserve. They made their bed, they can sleep in it.

Lol, when they cut the 70%, the infrastructure will go down. They accounted for none of the third level work, and would have no one to do it

@wez they're cutting "at least" 70% of the rebadges after the first of the year.

Not worth waiting around for a bonus and letting that happen to you.

It would be foolish to leave before the 1 year contract is up. You would lose the largest part of the 60% bonus
