Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Director of facilities at NRM

Anyone know what happened? I heard he was "relieved of duties"....but what does that even mean. Is he gone?

I just checked the crowdsource layoff spreadsheet. The dude was indeed laid off earlier this month.

Well not sure if it's related but the urinals down at the Gate 3 bathroom are being closed one by one as they drain too slow. The other urinals are almost overrunning too but so far, no maintenance support. It will be my damn luck that my IBD rears up on the day all urinals are closed and all toilet stalls are occupied by pissers. Guess I will setup a portable fish shack toilet in my cubicle.

He should have been gone years ago. His math skills are not very good and the evidence is the debacle he caused with the proposed sale of SHK. He cheats at golf too...

He has been reassigned and is no longer the head of facilities at NRM. Facilities is now headed up by the Wafer Equipment Maintenance Director. I won’t go into the possible reasons for this change, KD one of our VP’s made the change.

Wandered past his office today, he was present. Fake news I guess.

Maybe it meant he went to the bathroom.

I don't know anything about that but a datapoint from a an electrician friend is that Seagate's pay range for new electrician hires is laughable. Maybe he got tired of being squeezed by upper management.
