The List for Care

So, we know the depts, but not the impact to those depts.

I hope this post brings forth some closure/stress relief to those who are like me… sick of them sitting on this cr-p for so long, and leaving everyone on edge.

Resource Planning
Learning and Development
Quality Analytics
FSE

The term being used is “optimization”.. smh

That’s all I know for now. I do not know “how many” or “what location”.
This is going to further crush morale… so one thing to expect for those that make the “cut” is a pay raise. It happens like clockwork after every layoff to “calm the villagers”.
The crazy part is that almost everyone outside of SLT is making less than they made a year ago… combine that with the economy, and inflation… and suddenly you have what used to feel like a lucrative career feeling like you would be happier working at Target.

In response to the response on here about tech support going to be feeling the crunch due to reduced field techs and engineers to address outages… as someone in tech care on the front lines of this sh-t show, it is something we will not be able to take. As you said, it will cause folks to finally break and quit. We are already swamped with calls as it is, supporting home internet su-ks ba--s. And they have basically piled everything else on us over the last couple years. Being in tech support here is literally the worst place to be. And care reps just continue to dump calls to us without any attempt to resolve or questions being asked. It has really became he-l on earth.

There's no way Quality is getting consolidated to HQ1 or 2. QA has about 115 people. Out of that 115 only 2 are in Overland Park, 1 in Frisco and 0 in Bellevue. Most are in Tampa or Albuquerque. If anything it would make more sense to consolidate to those 2 locations. Not sure the OP is in the know at all. Seems like they are giving more of their personal guess than anything.

There are no call centers closing. Like originally stated…
Quality.. this will most likely be reduced again and centralized to HQ1 or HQ2
L&D… this will be reduced due to the previous reduction not being seen as aggressive enough in the call centers…
Resource Planning… this will be reduced in the call centers to a slimmer unit, and some tasks will be reallocated to HQ facing roles.
FSE… “optimization”… this will ultimately impact customers as less field engineers will equal technical coverage issues becoming much bigger than they are now…

The pressure is going to increase on an already over burdened tech team (because of them not knowing what to do with HSI support)… increased call volume due to reduced engineers is going to drive attrition up, and a reduced L&D dept is going to cause absolute havoc in call centers.

Honestly… my resume is already floating around. It’s some real stupid decisions being made by people who are not in touch with the frontline at all…

How the he-l does it make sense when both Quality and L&D got hit hard late last year? SLT has gone off the deep end. Very bad karma coming for Sievert and Freier the liar very soon I think.

The SLT are a disgusting group of people and they don't care that employees are suffering mentally. None of them care, period! Yet they are being gifted stock and selling to buy properties that advance their lives. All while preaching about DEI and employees need to do more. The SLT are all liars and don't care about supporting communities unless it contributes to the stock price. It is sickening that these SLT pricks are claiming they are helping society to progress. Evil is the foundational cornerstone of the SLT at tmo. Hey, but they are begging employees to donate money to Hawaii. Callie, why don't you donate the millions you extracted for fun money? Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting!
