I love Dell and work for 10+ years but lot of things change in my life in current situation and like to be laid off. I heard that Dell lay off 10% and I hope me in that position due to my situation again. That's strange but just wonder how I can be laid off without quit job.

I had a team member who asked to be put on the list, wasn't possible according to the VP as the lists were already made by someone (the VP).
Here are some tips to get laidoff.

Who's going to carry the boats on a sinking ship?
this thread stinks of the previously laid off circle jerking each other
It seems David Goggins works in Dell. Who knew?
@vql+1o996jaP your approach seems to be limp wrist and cry
just quiet quit like most of us.
some moran boomers will say stuff like firm handshakes and be a man. but those types and their advice have become obsolete.
Dont say anything to anybody, just stop coming into work and repling to all work related communications. This is the only sure way to get what you so richly deserve.
Yep speak to your manager. Explain the situation fully and ask for it. Remember Dell doesn't give a fu-k about you so likely that it will come your way...once you ask
@ezl+1o996jaP That's exactly the interview attire you should wear if you go interview for another role if there's a package available.
"Be a man and quit"
Is that you Jeff Clarke?
Be a man and quit after getting another job. Your boss just had to pick names to be nuked - I’m not sure they’d like to hear you want a check to quit.
Tell your manager you'd like to volunteer when they have to do layoffs again. I had a coworker that did this in a specialty role. No issue.
