Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Heartless

Why lay off somebody who is just a few years away from retirement? I feel so bad for the guy.

Maybe if the boomers weren’t so greedy they could have retired early. Probably paid $25,0000 for their house.

They did the same thing when we merged with AETNA. They laid off 3 oldest guys in the department with health issues a couple years short of retirement. CVS does not care about employees. Only shareholders. We are less than cattle to them.

Some leader on my team said it’s not easy to work for a company until the retirement day… someone might just say we don’t need you anymore one day. It’s sad.

They did the same thing at the end of last year to many people close to retirement who had pensions. CVS told the people affected 15 days before the end of the year that if they came back to work in 2023, they would lose a certain amount from their pensions when they told them in September that they would not if they came back to work in 2023. 15 days!!!!!! What a joke. CVS does not care at all what they are doing.

Did your mama never teach you that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all?
