I was laid off in finance today. I was in charge of half of the P&L for my group. I was the only person in the group who had any understanding of it. Was told my type of position is being consolidated and restructured into corporate.
Yes, just what a failing company needs, less eyes on the finances. Hopefully the highly inaccurate financial planning that results from this makes them happy.
I was let go too... 15 years of service, Sr. Manager. Layoff is an opportunity, not a bad thing! CVS is a dinosaur. I'm selling my stock and looking forward to better opportunities.
