Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Got the chopper

Laid off as a Medicare Underwriter, work from home position. Was given a team meeting last minute as a business update and the manager read a script which took a while 5 minutes. Last day is the day you receive notice.
Good luck and good riddance. There's better out there than working under the umbrella of CVS and Karen Ly--h.

It’s funny seeing the Boomers realizing the things the younger generation have been saying for years. I hope every boomer gets hired!!!

When you are let go depends a lot on your ability to mess things up for the org. For example, if you are in IT, you'll be gone pretty much immediately.

I hope everyone knows that these layoffs are not designed randomly.. if you were layed off, it was decided weeks ago and was specific to YOU as a person whom your supervisor DECIDED TO PICK YOU to lay off..

This happened in our department where a 5 yr. senior employee was fired when we have 8 new employees with NO EXPERIENCE that would have been better choices to let go..

WHAT THIS MEANS: CVS HEALTH NOT ONLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES CVS HEALTH DOESN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT ITSELF.

I worked under the Aetna umbrella for Medicare. Which also came as a shock as they constantly talk about investing in Medicare since the boomers are bringing in the "silver tsunami"
I hate to say it but no one is safe, I heard there may be another round of layoffs in October. Probably when the first round of the severance packages dwindle down. Sigh.

Thanks everyone!
And you're right it varies how long you're given but it would be a shame for them to even ask two weeks of someone given a last minute lay off. Do they expect us to keep working?
We should enjoy this time and opportunity to move onto better things.
I think CVS is not run by good leadership and they are more concerned for profits and always lower in salary comparable to other companies. They are also trying to bring back workers after recently hiring remote workers. The organization is confused and are bringing employees down with them.

Last day is different for everyone. People who have large teams and big projects they need to transition will be given more time. People who don't manage anyone and don't have big projects will be let go much faster.
