Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Customer Feedback, "Dell is an absolute trainwreck"

One common theme I keep hearing from the customer base is that Dell data center products stink. Support keeps getting worse and worse! For our competition, now is the time to take market share. I will be rooting for the likes of Pure, HP and NetApp, he-l, I will walk them into our accounts. I see no future as an Enterprise AE here in the US. I have begun my job search and plan on doing as little as possible without a team to support any of the cr-ppy products we have.

I am laughing that you would defend such a dumster fire of a company. Psst, I have worked for all 3 and everyone treats their customers and employees better than Dell. It's only getting worse at Dell

I am laughing that you think that Pure, HPE, and NetApp are better places to work or doing any better in the customer sat area. Psst. I want to tell you a little secret. IT IS ALL THE SAME. Go to there pages on this site and they are cranking about the same things.

Ex-Dell here, left voluntarily. I worked for a number of large manufacturers, all with similar hit and miss support. AEs and ASEs can make a big difference when it comes to customers' perception of support. Of course it's not your job and life is hard. Based on your comment I am not surprised that your customer thinks Dell is s*. They are looking at you and this is what they see.

I had a customer sat issue a while ago that was completely Dell’s fault. I was so frustrated trying to push things internally with nobody getting back to me I could feel my blood pressure rising. It was out of my hands. I eventually gave up. If nobody In management cares that much about keeping a large enterprise customer there isn’t anything I could do.

I think it depends on the product for sure...definitely all storage LoBs are in this boat. I was in a meeting with a customer and someone brought up Data Domain and the customer busted out laughing...take that for whatever sign you want.

No clue what your talking about, every call I join at least it's the opposite. Case in point we are actually on the zoom fixing sh-t, the other vendors responsible are making excuses.
