Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Changing Management Team

  • And it was a very painful realization, in 1990 that I was going to have to change the management team. That the company had outgrown the management.

Larry Ellison

Oracle investors are not happy with current mid mgmt team. Weak accounting controls have led many to manipulate their budgets by firing employees and giving themselves bonuses. They are the most corrupt of all in the industry. It is time for Larry to fire current mid level mgmt and hire honest individuals that promote based on merit and not favoritism. Technology is changing faster than ever. Time to keep up with current times and get new better qualified mgmt team

Oracle is a mess largely because of corrupt mid mgmt. Investors need to contact the board and let them know what’s going on. Evident upper mgmt does not a clue of all that’s going on. I don’t get how the auditors are not picking up in this mess. Must be getting paid they’ve been in trouble a few times…. Congress needs to get involved this ridiculous - this is publicly traded company and run like an unground mafia scam…..especially for the past years when that one mgr did all he did to get promoted so he take greater advantage of Oracle.
It’s gone too long.

With the controversy of Maui, Oracle might be investigated sooner than later. Would be a Slam dunk for investigators, promotions won because of the corrupt mid level thugs. Might be more than just the one set of handcuffs.
LE would be lucky to get rid of them with no severance, no anything. Could be a win after all for him…. As it is now many former Linai locals for generations are coming forward telling reporters of their experiences from LEs land grab.

Oracle ads are misleading as always. YouTube especially. Don’t know why they don’t do what they pretend to be doing….
It’s always more difficult to try to cover up so much.
Paid all that money for Cerner and they don’t care that the VA is not getting what was agreed. Veterans have died. Ridiculous. They don’t care how many families sue them.
This can not go on forever.

This reorg, major down sizing is probably going to lead to finally needing to turn the lights off. Question is will it be voluntarily or not? No one knows.

You talk about incompetence in GBU’s. But they are paid more than product professionals. Products are outdated too. Do you have guts to come to market ?

I worked in one of the GBU's and the practices of the mid and upper level mgmt there bordered on abuse of employees. They stayed cause they have no talent and their skills are useless in today's market and Oracle mothership and the local HR of the month person turned a blind eye every time. Lots of people who are going to be living with lots of regret. Some that just don't care or do the "everything's great if it's great on social media"...I can laugh these days. Many of them thought they mattered. They never did.

Based on their hiring practices over the past 10+ years, this was bound to happen.

Investors confidence in Oracle is about as low as employee morale. There are a lot of good opportunities right now for investors in other places.
