Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Layoffs Inevitable

The new PE owners have quickly discovered that fiscal 2024 revenue plan is surely undoable. Avaya is not a 1.7B company as initially thought, thus the need to chop 1000-1200 heads in an effort to save 250-300 million dollars. Layoffs will be initiated in October.

Fascinating that this is even news. But OF COURSE layoffs are inevitable!

Avaya is only a holding company with a skeleton crew moving forward

Holy Wow.

Just for the record...I saved images from the pre- bankruptcy days of the special someone.

Example

  • -- "When the alcohol hits during a night in and you think you are a backup dancer"..
  • (if only that involved one pic....sadly. dozens)

And you state Forbes? Did you know she self-imposed an image of herself and a football onto a Forbes cover the same week Sam Bankman Fried was arrested? Talk about Clueless!

PS. Where can I post these images? They must be seen to be believed!

2+ (-18) does not equal $3b!

Yet the loyal sycophants are still running around claiming that Avaya is a $3b org and they signed impressive new business. This broken record never ends. https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1nPQvBTt

What's next? Personal Brand extraordinare is going to be on the cover of Forbes? (Although they behave as if 22, they are closer to 40. Just supremely immature)

Who cares really, certainly not anyone in Avaya management.

As witnessed in Galway recently, barely made the news. One little article in a local rag.

A dead office that still spends money doing up a building no-one works in. Lease up in 2026 too!!!
