Part of the issue is trying to run a large company, but at the same time emphasizing a “local approach”. We’ve become so d*mn fragmented in processes and roles that we make silly mistakes.

The bigger you get the more streamlined and unified your approach needs to be. Variety introduces complexity with a significant order of magnitude.

Look at what markets have jobs posted internally. Now. Notice which ones don't. If you want to see what will be dissolved or sold, there's your answer.

Well , Sarah, Drew and his old friends have been running the medicare show for a long while, so they are responsible for that, but they are in charge, so they will throw anyone under the bus before assuming responsibility for it, rumors has it they just dismantled the quality team in such a disastrous way that anything that was moving and getting traction is now set back and going backwards, so get ready for the hit because there isn't anyone that has a plan, the finesse or a good know how on how to be strategic in that space, so this is just the beginning..

Maybe if the health plans focused more on improving performance in Medicare and Medicaid, our stars ratings would be higher and we wouldn’t be losing state contracts with Medicaid. Just a thought!

Neidorf grew the company at all costs, he made millions but he had a Forbes 500 to show for with thousands of employees, this so called new leader aka Sarah the poet , Drew and few others are just ra-ing the place, Sarah is not qualified for that job, she just operates sort of by what other of her friends executives gossip around her and because she is so full of it, she makes bad decisions, it is all smoke and mirrors and people on the top flying the plane for personal use and getting money hand over fist , never was that bad, never was that hopeless .

At behest of Sarah and Drew they are doing all the layoff , these are people that are making millions like never before in their life, they want to keep that taste of rich life, they have no good plan other than arbitrary letting people go, they are destroying some of the good functional teams that were moving things forward, the damage they are causing is sort of irreversible.Big mistake to put Sarah there.

I agree putting Sarah L in the CEO role was a big mistake, all she talks about is DEI, never a problem in Centene, Neidorf was a loved man for all he did in that area, this woman doesn't have any good plan for Centene other than saying how great she is and hoping to stay there as long as possible to cash in all the long term incentives.

They could easily stop the layoff by getting rid off Sarah the poet, Drew, the CPO and all those vampires from wellcare, at the end they never were part of Centene, the made the stock sh-t and they have done nothing other than play favorites and treat the place like a farm they own to share with the executive friends, the thing is they don't own the farm and the investors are coming after them , people are tired of so many lies and constant changes in direction, the reality is there not direction and they are now in a irreversible path that is putting the company years behind, they will only have enough people to keep the lights on with the hope to show so acceptable margin, no hope about the stars results, they ripped apart the quality team and there's no a good leader to fix it now, it will get nothing but worse. They should have never put Sarah in that job, hopefully this is she is not the last nail in the coffin before a big buyout or splitting the company apart

The “One CenTeam” Town Hall at the end of September should be spicy if there is anyone left.

Listen up, as someone (a manager) who has alittle bit of inside knowledge on this company, be prepared. If you are currently employed please have a back up plan come January 1, 2024. These layoffs will continue. They will come out of the blue. They will be massive. Another 500 are set to be let go by the end of November 2023. There has been allot of rumors about the STAR reviews and the amount of member were lose each month, yes these factors have played an impact. The layoffs ate also determined by how long you've been with the company, so I've noticed. Hopefully this helps as it's not too scare anyone but please take action soon.

Sorry, but this place disintegrated long before the new leaders were in play under MFN. When 3000 of us got laid off aka kicked to the curb in early 2021, it was mostly older folks who had built up this company and we were making too much. MFN was so much older and made millions off our backs. This is not new, just same game, new players.

@Gale - They won’t call them layoffs. They’ll call it restructuring. Right sizing. Role consolidation. Redundancy elimination. Redeploying talent. Redirecting resources.

It’s happening in IT, market teams, corporate teams , and in specific products like Medicare.

My gut tells me they want to sell an acquisition or product line. Heck maybe even the whole company. Gotta get those number right to attract M&A partners.

Centene under this so call leadership of Sarah and Drew has become a cr-ppy place to work for, everybody in the industry knows what is going on, they are so insanely sick for power and greed that they even dismissed guys like Jim and Brent that know their sh-t , layoffs are the easy out for this new troglodytes to hide the situation they are putting Centene in, this place is in bad trajectory and there is no plan to fix it, people who could have fixed it are gone.

Sarah and Drew are flying that jet more than the Saudi king, they are just plundering that place as it was theirs with all the perks and bloated compensation packages, this is there chance to become and live rich beyond their wildest dreams , of course there will be layoffs because they don't know how to run the company, they are trying to apply wellcare practices outdated for a company like Centene, so the easy way is to fire people by bunches, they can't cut at the top that lifestyle.

Sarah is not qualified for the job, of course is not her fault, it is to blame her inability to do to the job right ,she shouldn't be there and everyday that goes by things will get worse , she has brought a lot of instability , they have implemented the worst tyrannical hr practices KGB style, they are backstabbing and throwing people under the bus so they can justify her missteps and bad decisions of her team, she can't command respect because she doesn't understand the business, all she can do is repeat what other people tell her,so there is no direction, and everyone is just playing around her to get their fat bonuses, as if she was a functional id--t, reduction in force has to do with economic climate in Centene this is argument the case, everything is worse that anywhere else .

It seems like there are lay offs happening all over, including united health care and health first. So I dont believe it is Sara London's fault, these seems like a result of the pandemic to me. Now that the emergency is over and people on medicaid and medicare are no longer auto enrolled, we are losing people naturally and taking a hit financially. Its scary for everyone, but not the fault of one person.

🤣🤣🤣🤣,Sara believe so much Centene has such a big culture problem, that the huge a-s salaries they are now paying the new CPO and the CDO and all their team is not enough, they had to bring a new SVP from Humana to further the importance of culture, they don't hesitate on laying off the little guy that actually believes in their work and it is just trying to feed its family by the masses, but these new head talk figures that in reality are just ra-ing the company and becoming rich overnight, they are untouchable

They hired a new SVP , best in class leader from Humana to fix and enlightened the centene culture to another level never seen ,she and Sarah have had such as beautiful and delightful words about the importance of culture and inclusiveness, this is so important and refreshing for Centene, that it must to continue the firing and layoff people so they can pay these great leaders the millions they deserve so they keep bringing their wisdom and invaluable evangelical teaching of culture and collaboration and inclusion .

Centene is getting a really bad reputation out there, a CEO that is unqualified and hijacked by the dinosaurs and power hungry folks of wellcare, predatory hr practices disguised with culture and DEI, bad performance, lack of direction, everyone is at it own devices and the place is going south.

The sad part is we were all once part of something that seemed bigger this…. Driven by mission work …. At least the look of it morally was more …. And now we are all just really next in line on the chopping block ….. not even the good survive …. We are now playing chicken …. It’s a free for all … what a shame
