The people let go w/out severance: hourly or salary?
Something isn't adding up. I was apart of them Teams meeting on last Friday in which we learned our fate. After speaking directly to my super, i was advised that i could only use up my remaining PTO and sick balance. Even though i've been with this company for 8 years, i do not get any severance pay!!!!! Bunch of BULL
It's 9 weeks of base pay plus whatever bonus you're eligible for.
Does anyone know what the severance looks like on layoffs?
If you are being asked to document more of what you do and it’s status - and nothing else has changed in your immediate leadership chain - look out.
I'm a BA II and my team now has to send weekly reports about the work we do. My manager just asked for a report within the hour and my team also has a BA III. I think my job is on the line 🤣

The private jet comment it’s totally true. It flies between Tampa and St. Louis weekly (doesn’t matter if empty or full). A lot of people think she travels to Tampa to see the employees and the facility (REN is trash), but in reality is just to catch the jet parked in TIA while it waters for her or Drew.
Yes, Health Net was affected majorly. Also know of a few people from other health plans. Could be bigger. Their newly built "world-class marketing organization" also impacted citing restructuring to align roles with new business priorities. The whole marketing team was hired less than a year ago. What flawed planning! They have no idea what they are doing. Bunch of id--ts in leadership. Some from Mars and some from other planets. Any idea if there are going to be more layoffs?
Yup, can confirm. Some in my department were let go today.

It is just beyond disgusting how Sarah and the C suite makes millions in bonuses, fly in private jets non stop( is not commercial first class good enough?), spent infinite nights in the Ritz ,squandered in $500 meals and go to retreats to get massages where they discuss about the importance of culture and inclusion, what a hypocrisy, all that amidst layoffs and substandard health services to the members , worst funded with taxpayers money. How in the world are those morally wrong perks and beyond offensive compensation packages more important than keeping people who are actually, busting their a-s working employed.
In my corner of IT (excuse me, “BTS”), not a mention of layoffs by management.
Optum also just had a bunch of layoffs, 10% mostly medical people. Of course, nothing was said.

Are these layoffs at Centene? Was Health Net Impacted?
Kind of crazy coming into work today and hearing about people across the organization no longer with the company. Definitely want to wish all the best to those who were impacted.

A lot of long tenured white males let go in New York. I guess this will improve the diversity numbers. It’s 95% female and white now.

In IT (corporate) a lot of contractors were cut. I know of a few FTEs let go.
It's been building to this for a little while now between people getting added to 2nd (and sometimes 3rd) Agile teams, being thrown on massive projects (in addition to your BAU work) when previously contractors/staff would've been added for those projects.
And the overall market is NOT great. If I've applied to 30 positions in the past couple months, I've gotten 5 rejections | 25 no replies | 0 interviews, and I'm a Grade P here.

The company CEO Sarah the poet, who is doing a terrible job and it is not qualified for the role makes about $16mm in comp. I don't understand why is not easy pay her let say $5mm and with the other $11 mm save about
120 employees and families from starving and distress.

Yes there were meetings held at end of day to tell others they were saved from the layoffs of today …. Live to die another day basically

I heard there was a lot at the national level.
I think it was fair amount in each region. I think the positions get cut in about 2 months.
I’m in PA and we had 15 announced today including several leadership roles. Not sure how many company wide this go around.
