There has been a steady stream of layoffs in IT and UX most of the year, which will now continue into August and September as we continue labor force reduction.
The Future of Work initiative will also result in reductions as it appears those hired remotely during COVID will be gradually let go.

I was let go after 5 years of service to them. No notice given, but a nice package, so that is something. I was working from home but should have been exempt based on what my manager told me.
I'm just wondering how many they let go today Aug 12th.

- When were you laid off, how much notice did you receive and what org?
I lost my job and spent pretty much all of my career there, and it was all gone in a blink of an eye. Wishing you all the best of luck!
Cigna has recently amended their severance policy to include remote workers. If you're being required to return to the office and live 50+ miles away from the job..you may qualify for severance pay. The guidelines are stiff but may be beneficial to some people.
I didn't realize they were letting go of remote positions. I have been with Cigna 11 years and got to keep mine.
There’s so much waste to be cleaned up and the problem isn’t the workers. The problem starts at the top. The rich get richer, while the rest get fewer resources. It’s sick.
I was hired remotely. Because I am not within 50 miles of an office, my position was eliminated.
I wish some form of an announcement will officially be made from leadership. There are a lot of questions and a lot of people worried about the future of jobs. It is not a fun time to be a part of the organization.
Are you losing your job, Director?
